IHSA Asks Judge To Pick Up The Flag On Concussion Lawsuit

The Illinois High School Association is asking a judge to dismiss a class-action suit over the way it handles the risk of concussions in football. The IHSA says the state’s 800 schools have been proactive about improving head-injury management. The suit seeks to have the court supervise how high schools manage head injuries, but the IHSA says that would be unwieldy and would likely kill football programs across the state.
