Alexis Feaster Is The First Blue Jay To Go To State In Four Events

The Blue Jays seventh grade girls team finished third out 12 teams in their track meet Saturday. The eighth grade boys team finished fifth and the eighth grade girls team finished sixth.

Alexis Feaster is statebound in four events following Saturday’s meet. She won the seventh grade girls long jump with a jump of 14’5”, won the seventh grade girls 200 with a time of 28.4, and won the seventh grade girls 100 meter dash with a time of 13.5. Feaster was also part of the second place seventh grade girls 4X100. The team had a 56 second qualifying time. The team also included Kinkel, Simpson, and Brand.

According to the Blue Jays, no Greenville Junior High athlete has ever gone to state in four events to the IESA State Track Meet.

Hunter Matthews jumped 5’6″ in the eighth grade boys high jump.

Hannah Simpson won the seventh grade girls hurdles with a time of 18.1.

Madelyn Daiber threw 82’11” in the eighth grade girls discus to qualify to compete at state. She will also represent Greenville at state in the shot put after a 32′ throw.
