The Greenville Comets baseball team picked up its 17th win of the season Wednesday afternoon by beating Pana 11-1 in six innings at the local field.
Winning pitcher Ryan Hutchinson allowed just one hit in six innings of work. He struck out seven.
Pana led 1-0 through two innings then the Comets moved in front with two in the third. They added four runs in the fifth and five in the sixth. Jacob Hall hit a two-run home run over the left field fence.
Hall, Ryan and Tyler Hutchinson, and Craig Faulkner had two hits apiece while Kyle Dugan, Garrett Durborrow and Kaeden Mollett also hit safely.
The Comets play at Carlinville Thursday and host Hillsboro on Friday.
