Greenville College hosted a Jr. Legion wooden bat tournament in Greenville over the weekend with seven teams playing.
The Greenville Watson’s Senators’ squad lost all four of its games, falling to Carlyle 6-0, to Altamont 2-1 and to Shelby County twice, 2-1 and 8-4 in eight innings.
Hitting safely during the tournament for the Senators were Ty Sexton, Blake Doll, Christian Moss, Hunter Robinson, Noah Matthews, Ryan Hutchinson, Cody Gaffner, Jordan Lippert and Josh Pierce.
Pitchers were Hutchinson, Lippert, Moss, Doll and Sexton.
Also in the tourney were Highland, Mattoon, and Ford-Iroquois County. Mattoon and Highland played for the championship with Mattoon winning.
