Brooke Goodyear, a sophomore from Morton, IL, has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
Goodyear captured a top ten finish in the Midwest Classic Cross Country Invitational in Bourbonais, IL last weekend. She finished the 5k race with a time of 20:02, with a 4:00 mile pace. Goodyear overcame a soggy course to grab a top ten spot out of a field of 98 runners.
Andrew Sharp, a member of GC’s Men’s Cross Country team placed 4th at the Midwest Classic, finishing the 8k race with a time of 26:48, earning an honorable mention from SLIAC.
