Comets Basketball Opens Season In Kaskaskian Tourney

The Greenville Comets boys basketball team opened their season Saturday night at the Carlyle Kaskaskian Tournament.

The Comets were edged by Pinckneyville 48 to 47. David Holden scored 30 points for the Comets, making 12 of 15 shots from the field.

Play in the tournament continues Tuesday night. The Comets battle Woodlawn in a game scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on WGEL.
