I-Cash Funds Returned To Highland Youth Sports Advisory Commission

The Highland Youth Sports Advisory Commission is getting more than $35,000.00 from the state’s I-Cash program that returns unclaimed property to its rightful owner.

The Illinois Treasurer’s office approved a payment of $35,211.83 to the program in funds the state has held after the former Highland Baseball/Softball League was disbanded and before it was reorganized under the city’s Parks and Recreation Division.

The state has been in possession of the funds, from a bank account and CD, since December 2014 and the money should be returned soon.
