The Greenville College women’s basketball team has advanced to the championship game of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament.
Friday night at Westminster, Missouri, Greenville defeated Spalding 70 to 63 in the semifinals.
The Lady Panthers jumped out to a 44 to 27 lead at halftime.
Leading the G.C. scoring was Missy Deal with 16 points. Taylor Paulin had 13 points and Claire Schmitt added 10.
The tourney championship game will be played at 7 Saturday at Westminster. A win by the Lady Panthers over Westminster will send them to the NCAA Division III national tournament.
Westminster topped Eureka 71 to 64 in Friday’s other semifinal game.
