A former Alhambra woman is the new varsity girls’ basketball coach at Triad High School.
Stephanie Harris Potthast was recently hired to the position. She replaces Josh Hunt, who went from coaching girls’ basketball to being hired as Triad’s new varsity boys coach.
Potthast played basketball and golf as a student at Highland High School. While attending McKendree University, she began her coaching career, with the Highland freshman girls. Potthast was Highland varsity assistant coach two years and served as the Jerseyville varsity girl’s basketball coach for one season.
She spent the last two seasons as coach of the Triad boys’ basketball team.
Potthast is a teacher at Triad High School.
