Greenville Cheerleaders Part Of National Champion Lindenwood Squad

Two Greenville women are members of the Lindenwood University cheerleading squad that won a national championship on Friday.

Lynzi Karnowski, a sophomore, and Tessa Cantrill, a freshman, were on the team winning the intermediate coed Division II national championship at the NCA/NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The team received the top marks in five different categories including tumbling, pyramids, jumps, degree difficulty and overall effect. Lindenwood is at St. Charles, Missouri.

Cantrill and Karnowski were cheerleaders their four years at Greenville High School.

Lynzi Karnowski is the daughter of John and Lisa Karnowski. Tessa Cantrill is the daughter of Todd and Melissa Cantrill.

Marissa Maples of Greenville, a member of Lindenwood’s all-girl large cheer squad, also competed in Florida.
