The South Central Illinois chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes held its big fundraising banquet Sunday evening in the Greenville College Armington Center.
The hall was packed with FCA supporters. The featured speaker was Aeneas Williams, former St. Louis Rams player who is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Williams told WGEL he grew up in New Orleans, not knowing much about the FCA. He said he calls the FCA “the ground game” because it gives athletes the chance to live out their faith together while being discipled.
