The Mulberry Grove Sports Boosters club is the latest member of the Bond County Community Foundation (BCCF). After months of meetings to discuss improving the organization, the club adopted by-laws, elected officers, and then requested inclusion in the BCCF. As an endowment under the BCCF, the Mulberry Grove Sports Boosters is now a 501c3 not-for-profit organization.
The club will work closely with Chad Nelson, Mulberry Grove Athletic Director, and the district’s coaches to provide financial assistance for new uniforms, equipment, and scholarships.
Donna Sloan, Boosters president, said, “We would like as many members as possible to join and actively participate as we support our Mulberry Grove sports teams.”
The Mulberry Grove Sports Boosters board meets the first Wednesday of each month, August through May, in the school cafeteria.
The Bond County Community Foundation is dedicated to encouraging charitable giving to local groups that focus on education, youth, human service, art and culture, and community development. The BCCF is administered through the trust department of The First National Bank. You can visit the Foundation’s website at www.bondcountyfoundation.org.
