It’s an important week for Greenville University basketball as conference championships are on the line for the women’s and men’s teams.
The Lady Panthers have a one-half game lead over Spalding in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, with the final three games this week.
They played at Eureka Monday, host Westminster Wednesday in their final regular season home game, and travel to Webster in St. Louis Saturday.
Last Saturday at Iowa Wesleyan, Greenville led by only three at halftime, but took control in the second half to win 99-59.
Coming into this week, the Lady Panthers have an overall record of 18-4 and conference mark of 12-1.
The G.U. men are tied for the conference lead with Spalding. Both had 13-2 records coming into this week.
The Panthers grabbed their 13th league win at Iowa Wesleyan on Saturday by the score of 128-125.
They played at Eureka Monday night, have their final regular season home contest Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. against Westminster, and play at Webster Saturday for the last regular season home game.
