Comets Win At Staunton

In a game at Staunton Saturday afternoon, the Greenville Comets earned their fifth win of the season by the score of 52-23.

The GHS squad is now 2-0 in the South Central Conference.

Peyton McCullough led the Comets in scoring with 15 points. Also in double figures were Jack Schaufelberger with 12 and Fletcher Manhart with 11.

In their last three games, the Comets, have allowed opponents an average of 27 points.

The Greenville High School boys play another conference game at Gillespie Monday night. They enter the contest with an overall record of 5-1.

Also at Staunton Saturday, the junior varsity Comets won 62-29 as Landon Moss posted 20 points and Tyson Ackerman had 15.

The freshmen played one half with GHS beating Staunton 25-16. Hudson Alstat and Kaleb Gardner scored seven apiece.
