Playing at Pana Friday night, the Greenville Comets were handed a 58-40 defeat.
Pana led after every quarter.
It was 33-22 at halftime and a 15-point Pana margin after three.
Leading scorer for the Comets was Fletcher Manhart with 18 points.
The GHS boys are 9-3 overall and 6-2 in the South Central Conference. They host Litchfield this Saturday afternoon.

In the junior varsity game at Pana, the home squad grabbed a 79-57 decision over the Comets. Leading the GHS scoring were Kaleb Gardner with 17 points and Landen Moss with 16.
The freshman Comets beat Pana 38-29. Gardner totaled 14 points and Nick Grull had eight.
The freshmen play at home against Triad at noon today.
The Litchfield-Greenville JV contest is to start at 1:30.
