The Mulberry Grove High School baseball Aces played to a 4-4 tie in six innings Friday against Woodlawn.
The Aces scored four runs in the third inning and Woodlawn came back with four in the fourth.
Daustin Steiner pitched three and two-thirds innings for Mulberry Grove and struck out five. Conner Budnicki also pitched.
Jason Millikin had two hits.
Thursday, the Aces were edged by Father McGivney 5-4. The winning team had only three hits.
It was a 5-0 score going into the seventh. The Aces came up with four tallies, but fell a run short.
Tucker Johnson had two hits for the Aces and Budnicki and Blake Scoggins also hit safely. Carter Scoggins drove in two runs. Millikin and Blake Scoggins also recorded RBIs.
Pitching for the Aces were Garrett Knerrer and Carter Scoggins.
The Aces were 7-5-1 for the season after Friday’s tie.
