Lady Comets Win At Home

Playing at home for the first time this season, the Greenville Lady Comets beat Metro East Lutheran Tuesday night.

The GHS girls led from start to finish in recording a 59-31 victory.

The Lady Comets sank eight three-point shots, three by Abby Clark, two apiece by Charlee Stearns and Emma Veith, and one by Bailey Wilkerson.

Clark led all scorers with 14 points. Veith finished with 10.

A total of 10 players scored in the game for Greenville High School.

The Lady Comets are now 2-3 for the season. They play at Gillespie Thursday and the game will be broadcast on WGEL.

The junior varsity Lady Comets posted a 51-7 win over Metro East Lutheran to improve their record to 2-0.

As in the varsity game, 10 GHS players scored. Leading the way were Veith and Erin Peppler with eight points each, and Mylee Kessinger, Ava Potthast and Kylie Doll had seven apiece.
