Playing at Bethalto last Friday, the Highland High School softball girls claimed a Class 3A regional championship.
The Lady Bulldogs defeated Civic Memorial 12-9 in the regional title game.
Highland is hosting a sectional tournament. The Lady Bulldogs play their semifinal game Wednesday at 5 p.m. against Charleston.
The sectional championship game is at Highland on Saturday, June 3 at noon.
