Wednesday Night Golf League at GCC – WEEK 5

On Wednesday, June 12th the Greenville Country Club Wednesday Night Golf League completed its 5th week of league play.  Below are the results.
WEEK 5 results:
Wall to Wall Furniture – 48
Tadd’s Troops – 24
Tony Atchison and his band of brothers from Wall to Wall Furniture increase their lead atop the Wednesday Night League doubling up Tadd’s Troops with a score of 48 to 24.  Ben Wayman continues to be Tony’s go to golfer posting a net score of 5 under par 31.  
Bailey Real Estate – 38
Sheriff’s Department – 34
Team Captain for Bailey Real Estate, Ed Rainey posts a very nice net score of 1 under par 35 and Ben Barth was on fire Wednesday night shooting a gross score of 1 under par 35 (net score 2 under par 34) helping Bailey Real Estate eke out a win over the rough & tough Sheriff’s Department.
Bradford Bank (White) – 41
Supplied Energy – 31
Bradford National Banks white team picks up back-to-back wins and their third win of the season in convincing manner beating the “young guns” from Supplied Energy by 10 points.  Bradford (white team) played well on Wednesday, with 3 of their 4 players shooting net scores of even par or better: Chad “Nelly” Nelson net 34, Steve “Romy” Rommerskirchen net 36 and Adam Cornelius net 36.  
4th Street Lanes 2.0 – 43
WGEL – 29
Last year’s league champions 4th St. Lanes 2.0 may finally be over their Championship hangover, picking up only their second win of the season after losing for the past three consecutive weeks.  Paul Betscher and Larry Bingham were troughing strikes on Wednesday for 4th St. Lanes 2.0, with Paul shooting a net score of 2 under par 34 and Larry shooting a net score of 1 under par 35.
Fred’s Greenhouse – 36
4th Street Lanes – 36
This match played out to a tie with both teams picking up 36 points apiece in week 5.  The top golfer for Fred’s Greenhouse was Tricky Dick Adkins, shooting a net score of 1 under par 35.  The golfer carrying the load for 4th Street Lanes was Wayne Baldwin, posting a very nice net score of 2 under par 34.
Micks Auto Body – 41
L&B Flooring – 31
After picking up their first win of the season last week in week 4, L&B Flooring could not keep it going in week 5 losing to Micks Auto Body by 10 points.  Jeff Koontz & Denny Ennen, playing in the back cart for Micks Auto Body, were the two golfers doing the damage in this match.  Jeff shot a net score of 2 under par 34 and Denny was a beast on Wednesday night posting a net score 4 under par 32.
PUB 36 – 38
Bradford Bank (Blue) – 34
After losing in week 1 and week 2 PUB 36 may the hottest team in the league, picking up wins in the past 3 consecutive weeks.  Adam Evans, team owner of PUB 36, came to play on Wednesday night.  Adam shot the best score of the entire group with a net score of 2 under par 34.  Pub 36 will attempt to increasing their winning streak to four weeks in a row as they face last year’s Champions 4th St. Lanes 2.0.
