The first annual Miles for Marshall 5K Trail Run for Childhood Cancer is set for Saturday, September 27 at 10 a.m. at Patriot’s Park in Greenville, and registration is now open.
Inspired by Marshall Staff’s journey, this event transforms a scenic 5K into a statement of support for children battling cancer. All ages and fitness levels are welcome, and every registration helps raise awareness and funds for young cancer patients and their families.
Those who register by August 1 will receive a commemorative t-shirt. Medals will be awarded to top male, female, and kids division finishers. Food vendors will also be on site to enhance the community atmosphere.
This year’s beneficiary is Friends of Kids with Cancer, a nonprofit that supported the Staff family during their cancer journey. “It’s the generosity and thoughtfulness of organizations like Friends of Kids with Cancer that have brightened our path on some of the darkest days,” said Christina Staff, Marshall’s mother and the driving force behind the event.
