South Central Conference high school football teams played Friday night with several high-scoring games around the conference.
Hillsboro picked up a 39-32 win over Vandalia, while Carlinville rolled past Gillespie, 56-0.
Staunton defeated North Mac, 52-20.
The closest game of the night needed overtime, as Pana edged Southwestern, 19-18. The Comets didn’t play on Friday due to Litchfield not having a varsity football team this season, but the Comets will be back in action this Friday at home vs Carlinville.
