Mulberry Varsity Lady Aces took their first win for the season 25-17, 28-26 over Christ Our Rock. The girls played this game with great energy. They communicated well and put up some smart plays.
Setter Lillabelle Kelley was on her game with 2 aces and 8 assists. She also had a good defense with 10 serve receives, and 1 dig. Hitters Addy Buatte and Allyse Blankenship both had a good night at the net with 6 kills each. Addy also had 2 assists and an ace. Defensively she had 5 serve receives, 12 digs and a solo block. Allyse had 5 serve receives and 5 digs. Whitley Quick had 1 kill, 10 serve receives and 9 digs. Sophia Smith had 3 kills 2 blocks and 3 digs. Freshman Kenzie Walker stepped up in varsity and had 1 ace, 3 assists, 5 serve receives and 4 digs.
The Lady Aces will next play Tuesday vs. Patoka in their second conference game.
