Major Snow Fall Saturday

According to the National Weather Service between 6 and 10 inches of snow fell in and around the WGEL listening area Saturday during the major winter storm that pushed through our area.  The weather closed local events, cancelled basketball games and impacted travel most of the day.  The city of Greenville declared a snow emergency and plows and salt trucks worked long into the night.

Another chance for accumulating snow is expected Monday, with another possible inch or two of snow.  The ribbon cutting at the new Plaza in downtown Greenville has been rescheduled for December 6th at 1PM.
