Anhydrous Accident North of Mulberry Grove

A large anhydrous accident Thursday afternoon happened just a few miles north of Mulberry Grove on Mulberry Grove Road between Persimmon and 3 D Road after 3PM.  The Bond County Sheriff’s Department asked residents within 3 miles around the accident to evacuate as a precaution.

According to Bond County Sheriff Josh Hill a tractor hauling an anhydrous tank was heading southbound and met a north bound vehicle on a bridge, after getting over and passing the bridge the anhydrous tank got onto the shoulder and flipped over.  The tank did not leak.  There was no contact between the tractor and the northbound vehicle.   A CodeRed message was also sent out to those living in the area.

The tank was removed and taken back to the company for repairs, but again no anhydrous leaked in the accident.
