Turner Wins Agriculture History Museum Fair Contest

The Bond County Agriculture History Museum has announced the winner of its “Guess How Many Popcorn Kernels” contest held during the recent Bond County Fair.

Micah Turner of Greenville submitted a guess of 1,742 kernels, coming closest to the actual total of 1,824 kernels in the milk bottle.

For having the closest guess, Turner received a commemorative 250th anniversary coin set.

Museum officials thanked everyone who entered the contest and stopped by their exhibit during the fair.

They also thanked Bond County native Sherry Schaefer, author, CEO of 3-Point Ink, and editor of *Heritage Iron* and *Oliver Heritage*, for partnering with the museum to provide copies of the book *Ultimate Tractor Power, Vol. 3* to visitors at the display.

The Bond County Agriculture History Museum said it appreciates the community’s support and looks forward to returning to the fair next year.
